Sparx: Season 2, Episode 5
Machine learning and artificial intelligence have become an indispensable part of our everyday lives. In the business world, companies are increasingly using these technologies to tap into new markets, make better and faster decisions and improve operational processes.
Or as Markus Winterholer, Delivery Practice Manager at AWS, puts it: "Machine Learning is one of the most disruptive technologies of our generation." According to Winterholer, this technology will become part of more and more applications, fundamentally changing the way we interact with computers. However, building such an application yourself is time-consuming and complicated – isn't it?
Not necessarily: there are ways you can use machine learning for yourself without having any experience in programming. In his "Sparx" talk, Winterholer explains how this works and what role the cloud plays in this.
Markus Winterholer (*1973), who did his Master's in Computer Science at the University of Tübingen, worked in the USA for eleven years before coming to Switzerland in 2016. Since 2020, he has been working as Delivery Practice Manager at Amazon Web Service (AWS) Switzerland. In this role, he advises customers around the world on the application of AWS solutions in the areas of cloud and machine learning.
