TechTalk Audio: Responsible AI & ChatGPT

Everyone is talking about (and to) ChatGPT. But what makes this chatbot so revolutionary? And how do we ensure that we use it sensibly and ethically? That's what Rudraksh Bhawalkar, Global Delivery Lead for Accenture's internal Responsible AI program, talks about in the sixth episode of the TechTalk Audio on Responsible AI.

To the point:
- ChatGPT stands for chat generative pre-trained transformer. It is a chatbot based on GPT-3, a generative AI model by Open AI.
- Due to the enormous amount of data that has been used to train ChatGPT, it is able to provide very detailed answers to complex problems and also explain things easily.
- ChatGPT is useful for small or mid-size companies to support call center services. Or it can help people who are more comfortable discussing their problems with a machine than with a human being.
- The data ChatGPT has been trained on is often missing the context of fairness and explainability – this leads to problems with bias, reliability and plagiarism.
- Students are using ChatGPT to do their homework. Or if you want, you can ask ChatGPT to create Python or Java based code for you.
- When a student copies a math problem into ChatGPT, it does not only provide the answer, but different potential ways of solving it and the reasoning behind it. As a result, students stop learning properly themselves.
- Since ChatGPT is so nascent in stage, we are still finding out what it is capable of. It is hard to say, how we can ensure its responsible use, but responsible AI principles will definitely help us.
