«Viva Barcelona – viva Trivadis!»
Trivadis celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2019. This was properly celebrated during a weekend in Barcelona.
The Trivadis TechEvent has been held regularly twice a year for more than 20 years. Once conceived purely as an employee event, the fall version of the event has developed into one of the largest IT events in the DACH region. Trivadis employees and selected customers, partners and interested parties - a total of around 650 visitors - come together for two days in Regensdorf near Zurich to discuss various topics relating to technological and strategic aspects of IT and to gain further education in around 110 sessions.
In spring, however, the more than 700 Trivadians remain among themselves and the event remains true to its original purpose of further and team building. For the 25th anniversary of the company's founding at the end of March, the entire staff retreated to Barcelona to grow even closer together, develop further social skills and, last but not least, to celebrate the occasion in a fitting manner.
"Enabling a world in which intelligent IT makes life and work easier as a matter of course" is Trivadis' mission, which the company has been pursuing since the change of CEO last September. Twenty-five years ago, in March 1994, Trivadis was founded with the claim of being more flexible, faster, more innovative and more customer-oriented than the competition. Even then, Urban Lankes and his two allies recognized that data would become increasingly important in all areas of life. Thus, within a few years, the company was able to establish itself as a specialist in training and consulting around databases.
Corporate culture as the basis for success
The IT industry has developed rapidly since then, but the vision of Trivadis at the time, namely to provide high-quality consulting services for customers and to pass on acquired knowledge as a training provider, still applies today. Success proves Trivadis right. For 25 years, the basis for growth and success has been the company's cultural values: curiosity, doer, freedom, network. The fifth cultural value, which was only added later, is togetherness. Trivadis employees learn from each other and in this way develop themselves and Trivadis together. This includes the fun of joint success as well as the exchange of ideas at events such as the TechEvent.
