I am an expert in ...

... sustainably successful business models in the digital age.

What I like most about IT:

IT is a cross-sectional function, which is why it simply influences and (helps) shape all areas and topics.

What I don't like about IT:

As a tool, IT can create added value as well as harm. I don't like the latter.

I find data useful because ...

... they are the raw material to create new knowledge with artificial intelligence.

My biggest IT dream:

That we may continually develop AI further, but never achieve an Artificial Super Intelligence.

My fondest memory of IT:

The acoustic handshake at the dial-up modem. That meant "Hello world!"

My favourite gadget/tool/software:

Google Earth. I could travel the world for hours like this and since the film "Lion" even more so.

If I were a gadget, I would be ...

WALL-E!! Organised, focused, orderly. With personality, passion, emotionality. And a few scratches.

My favourite website:

www.google.com. How on earth did we do that before?!

The future brings ...

...innovation cycles are becoming shorter and shorter, also in IT. This means great progress, but also risks that we have to recognise and mitigate.

The best invention of all time:

Technologically: the navigation system. Folding maps in the car were always a drag.

My greetings & wishes to the IT community:

May the Force be with you!
