Oracle Database & Infrastructure Architect with Project Management Tasks (m/f/d)

What you can expect

  • You conceptualise, design and implement database environments in challenging projects.
  • You lead IT projects as a service manager and/or Oracle architect, including success-oriented management of the service and project team (ITIL certification).
  • Your tasks include performance analyses and optimisations on database and application level, the definition of database environments and setups as well as backup & recovery.
  • You are also familiar with system monitoring using Cloud Control or related tools.
  • You work in a network of experts with a high level of personal responsibility and have the opportunity to lead courses as a trainer.


What you bring to the table

  • The operational environment of databases is your professional home, and you have profound knowledge in the operation of relational databases. Specifically, you convince with in-depth knowledge of Oracle DB 11g to 19c.
  • Ideally, you are familiar with other databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and have experience in database development with SQL, T-SQL or PL/SQL.
  • You are well versed in database administration and have acquired skills in performance tuning.
  • Your experience also includes high availability setups of databases, e.g., with Always On availability groups, Oracle RAC or Oracle Data Guard.
  • Ideally, you are certified in OCA, OCP and/or OCM or are aspiring to be.
  • Existing know-how in the operation of databases in the cloud, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS (Amazon Web Services), is a plus.
  • In your projects, you have gathered sufficient operating system knowledge with Windows, Linux or UNIX and used PowerShell or Shell Scripts.
  • Since our customers are active in the DACH region, you should have very good knowledge of German (written and spoken).
