Database Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

We design and build modern data platforms: on-premises, in the cloud or hybrid. In doing so, we rely on transferable or replicable solutions with our own tools, standardised building blocks and architectures, a high degree of automation and third-party services.
To this end, we are now looking for you as a database infrastructure engineer to advise our customers on the use of databases, create concepts, assist with implementation and ensure stable operation.

What you can expect

  • You take over operational tasks and the implementation of solutions in the MSSQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL database environment.
  • The physical design of databases in challenging projects is part of your tasks as well as the backup and recovery conception and implementation.
  • You are involved in the implementation of migration projects, performance analyses, database monitoring projects and define and set up highly available database environments.
  • You support customers in technical matters and take over the operation of the database infrastructure.
  • With the appropriate prior knowledge or training, you support customers on the database side in the cloud or on the way to the cloud.
  • With us, you are given opportunities for further development and the freedom you need to develop your personal strengths, and you benefit from the know-how of our network of experts.

What you bring to the table

  • You have a sound IT-oriented education or several years of professional experience as a database administrator.
Ideally, you are certified in one of the above-mentioned areas (MSCA, MSCE or OCA, OCP, OCM) or are working towards one of these certifications.
  • You convince with deep knowledge in MSSQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL databases and ideally know other databases like MongoDB, MariaDB or MySQL from practical experience.
  • Experience in database development (e.g., with SQL, T-SQL or PL/SQL) and existing know-how in operating databases in the cloud (Azure or AWS) are a plus.
  • In your projects, you have gained operating system knowledge with Windows, Linux or UNIX and used PowerShell or shell scripts.
  • With us, you support top companies in a wide range of industries.
