Secretiveness in Azure-Cloud with the Azure Key Vault (Manuel Meyer)

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm:

"Storing secrets that an application needs has always been a challenge. It's actually quite simple: everything that is secret is encrypted. The procedures are known and tried. It's just stupid that the key is also a secret. Then what do we do with the key? Encrypt the key with a password? Wait, we're spinning in a circle. The Azure Key Vault is the offer of the Azure cloud to solve this problem. In this session we look at what the Key Vault is and how we use it in our architecture."

Angular Animations - And suddenly my app is really sexy! (Thomas Gassmann)

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm:

"Animations play a major role in the design of modern web applications. Animations enable the user to have a user experience that is appealing and draws the user's attention to the relevant parts. Good user interfaces switch smoothly between the states with flowing animations. In this session, the concept of animation in Angular is explained and we take a look at how your app becomes really sexy."

WinUI 3 – developing modern Windows desktop apps (Thomas Claudius Huber)

4:15 pm - 5:15 pm:

"With WinUI 3, Microsoft is launching a brand new XAML-based UI framework. Brand new? Not quite. The XAML Runtime and XAML Controls of the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) have been decoupled from Windows and are now available as NuGet packages under the name WinUI. With WinUI 3, modern applications can be created based on the UWP model (with Windows Store support) as well as on the classic Win32 model with an EXE file. It looks like WinUI 3 will represent the future of modern Windows desktop development."

23rd September 2020

JavaScript Interop in Blazor-Apps: the benefit of Browser-APIs and JavaScript components (Thomas Claudius Huber)

11:30 am - 12:30 pm:

"Blazor supports access to the JavaScript Runtime of the browser, this is called JavaScript Interop. But why use JavaScript Interop if C # can be used directly in Blazor? With JavaScript Interop, you can use existing browser APIs such as local storage or geolocation that are not yet available in Blazor for C #. On the other hand, any number of JavaScript components can be integrated with JavaScript Interop. For example, if you are using a third-party JavaScript component or have even developed a JavaScript component yourself, you can continue to use it in your Blazor app thanks to JavaScript Interop. In this session you will learn the basics of JavaScript Interop in live demos: you will learn how to access JavaScript from .NET, how to access .NET from JavaScript and how to use existing JavaScript components and encapsulate them with Razor components."

ML.NET: getting into Machine Learning for .NET developers (Thomas Claudius Huber)

4:45 pm - 5:45 pm:

"With ML.NET, Microsoft offers a relatively simple introduction to machine learning for .NET developers. You can train in Visual Studio models to use a wide variety of machine learning algorithms. In this session you will get an overview of the possibilities and learn how you can use machine learning with ML.NET in your own .NET applications."
