Document analysis brings added value

When an enterprise migrates to new core systems (ERP, CRM, SCM), it must also revise all its corporate documentation and adapt it to the new systems. Only by taking an engineering-based approach can this task be completed rapidly and cost-effectively.

We have developed the Trivadis Document Object Model (TDOM) for document analysis, in order to provide companies with the best possible support in this area. The TDOM focuses primarily on the reusability of the data. It breaks documents down into their individual components (presentation objects) which are managed in the presentation objects catalogue and used to generate new documents.

Document as a service

The next step involves describing the document using a so-called assembly list, on the basis of the various presentation objects. Finally, the complete document is sent to the document service for creation. By regarding a document as a service, we have eliminated the time-consuming process of formatting business data in documents. We have also removed the static link between documents and business processes which brings significant added value for enterprises.

Our corporate document service

Companies which choose a document analysis function, such as that offered by the TDOM, are often faced with the challenge of developing services for internal use. Service-oriented architecture (SOA) plays an important role in this respect. SOA also lies at the heart of the Trivadis Enterprise Document Service. This been developed around a central enterprise service bus (ESB) and manages the services needed for document creation.
